Jessica and Ryan's Beach Club Wedding

I'm proud to feature the wedding of a very good friend of mine, Jessica Bell. Jessica and I were roommates before I got married, and it was so great to be able to live with her during the period of time when she met Ryan (he spotted her at a concert and found her later tagged in photos online and asked her out!). She was married at the Calhoun Beach Club right here in Minneapolis.

Danielle and Matt's Wedding

This is the type of wedding I live for! Danielle asked me to make a custom photobooth sign for her carnival/fair style wedding using her colors of pink and gray. After tweaking the design we came up with something that matched her theme, and seeing all the other design pieces she incorporated, it's clear she knew what she was doing!!



 

 

 

Great Gatsby Themed Reception

Stephanie and Judson are having a Gatsby themed wedding, so we picked some vintage fonts to match the style. Love these!

 

Sara and AJ's Fair Grounds Wedding

Sara had my DREAM wedding. Dakota County Fair Grounds, mint and coral for her colors, everything vintage. I loved being able to create things for this event. She gave me total creative control, and was one of the most laid back anything goes brides ever. She even invited me to the reception! Thanks Sara, for letting me be a part of your day!

 

 

Holly and Steve's Rooftop Reception

Holly wrote found me on etsy and asked if I could do a sign for her and her fiance's rooftop reception. Steve, her fiance, will be deploying to Afghanistan this coming Monday. My husband deployed to Iraq in 2010, so making this sign for them was really such an honor. I know how it goes when you have someone you love so far away. So Holly, thanks for letting me make this for you. Stay strong while he's away, and remember to send lots of hand written letters!

Window Signage

Ever since making the window pane sign for Brian and Rachel's wedding back in May, I've become totally obsessed with experimenting with different kinds of signs using windows. Here are a few of the things I've come up with!

I love the versatility of this sign. You can use it in your kitchen or for parties after your wedding. Love.

I love this sign because again, it's something you can use after the wedding. It's a great way to commemorate the day, and can even be purchased as a wedding gift.

Brian and Rachel's Country Wedding

I had the pleasure of providing signs for my brother-in-law (and now new sister-in-law's!) wedding this weekend. They got married on the family farm, so I was able to tap into my rustic side and provide some awesome stuff that matched their personal, country style while still looking modern. 

Here is their welcome sign. We nailed it right to the tree, and since there was a chance of rain that day, we wrapped it in a big plastic bag first, to make it water proof. Worked wonders!

They let me try my hand at this new timeline sign I've been wanting to make for some time. They were having a very casual wedding, filled with all kinds of lawn games and a bonfire to cap off the night.

 

The rain held off for them to have their ceremony outside. Everyone sat on hay bales; it was awesome. We put my chalkboards to good use to let people know to sit anywhere they wanted. 

Look at their reception venue! They turned their horse barn into one of the most romantic barn wedding receptions I've ever seen. Each horse stall was a different "station"; food, gifts, guestbooks, etc.

And this bad boy, was my special project. I wanted to make them something they could put in their house after their wedding, so I created this. It leaned against the head table, and fit the decor perfectly! Plus, the bride teared up when she saw it; totally worth it. :)

 I hung twine from one of my frames, and we displayed their engagement pictures on it next to the guestbook.

 

They used mason jars for decor and for their centerpieces, so I used a graphic I purchased and worked it into one of the signs.

 

When the reception kicked off we moved the timeline sign into the barn, so people could see what was coming next in the night.

 We placed this sign outside the "food" station stall; we thought it was fitting. :)

 Brian and Rachel (the bride and groom) were friends for most of their relationship, so many of the guests were fuzzy on "how they came to be official", so we reused the chalkboard after the ceremony and wrote out their story for the reception.

Now this, is one of my favorite items. While looking around in one of their sheds for a desk to place the guestbook on, I came across this old window pane. We cleaned it up and I made a piece for them to decorate the food stall with, and they can keep it after the wedding for home decor. Brian and Rachel love horses, so I put two intertwined horseshoes in between their initials. 

 

 

  

And to end the night, the bonfire, as promised. My brother-in-law Nate took this picture, and I feel it perfectly shows the beauty that was that entire day.
